Beautiful Winter Bird

Snapped a picture of this beautiful male Cardinal in my backyard.  Poor guy, I bet he can't wait for Spring either!  I could hear the lovely sound of the female, but I couldn't find her.  I wondered how they stay warm on such a cold wintry day.

First day of February.  Only 13 days until Valentines Day!
